We recognise that your decisions regarding upholstered furniture are important ones and can involve weighing up the pros and cons of a new sofa versus reupholstering an existing one or choosing between a fabric which you have fallen in love with and one that is more practical. We offer a full service for both new upholstered and reupholstered furniture, from helping you to decide what is right for you given your personal taste, needs and budget through to delivering the new or reupholstered furniture to your home. We have our own upholstery workshop where all of the re-upholstery work is carried out and some of the new upholstery is made.

At our shop in Winchester we have an extensive range of upholstery fabrics for you to choose from. We offer free fabric cutting service and pattern book loan. We also offer free access surveys and deliveries within our local area.

CUSTOM MADE NEW UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE

We provide good quality custom made new upholstered furniture at competitive prices.

Our sofas and chairs are traditionally made using only glued, screwed and dowelled hardwood frames.

Styles range from the more traditional to the contemporary look. Sofas come in different sizes and you can choose armchairs that either match the sofa or go for a more eclectic look by choosing chairs with a different style.

We make our own bespoke upholstered furniture including sofas, chairs, headboards, table stools and screens, all to dimensions as specified by our customers.

We also supply custom made upholstered furniture traditionally made by manufacturers including Artistic Upholstery and John Sankey.

The NEW Kingsbridge Sofa

The Kingsbridge sofa is the latest addition to the range of sofas we are making ourselves. It is a traditionally made small to medium sized sofa. It has all the comfort of a larger sofa and yet fits into smaller spaces so it is ideal for bay window areas, bedrooms and small cosy living rooms.

The frame is made from selected hardwoods and joints are doweled, glued and screwed. The sofa has fully upholstered seat and back with serpentine springs. There is a single seat cushion which has a foam core wrapped in china duck feather. The wooden legs are antique mahogany as standard but other colours are available.

The big news is that because we make the sofa ourselves right from the frame making to the final cover we can be flexible on the dimensions. So although our shop display model has overall width 153cm; overall height 83cm and overall depth 84cm any of these dimensions can be altered to suit the particular customer's needs at no extra cost to the customer.

RE-UPHOLSTERY & NEW LOOSE COVERS

Our upholstery workshop is based in Wiltshire and we undertake reupholstery work for customers living in nearby counties including Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Dorset and Surrey as well as those living in Wiltshire.

We can help with anything from recovering the seat of a single dining chair to complete re-upholstery of a three piece suite including new springs, webbing, cushion fillings etc.

All our work is done to a high standard using traditional skills gained over many years of experience.

The upholstery workshop also makes some of our new upholstered sofas and chairs as well as bespoke upholstered headboards, table stools, ottomans and screens.
